¡Enhorabuena!

MS Mexico (Esclerosis Múltiple México) held their fourth national MS meeting on 2-4 October 2009, in Puebla de los Ángeles, México.

The meeting was attended by 300 people with MS, caregivers, friends and health specialists. The event opened with the World MS Day video and included presentations on medical treatments, progressive forms of MS, physiotherapy, managing feelings and practical demonstrations e.g. how to use a walking stick or walker safely and comfortably.

Participants were treated to a lively social programme including a gala dinner and dance.

"México has prominent neurologists and researchers specialised in MS and they generously share their knowledge at our annual meetings. The increasing numbers of people who are being diagnosed with MS requires us … to encourage them in never giving up, but giving them the most and best possible resources in information and group support." Héctor García Caballero, Esclerosis Múltiple México & Executive Committee member, MSIF Persons with MS International Committee.
